Gold and Red Brocade on Green

The shimmery gold and red brocade pattern makes an interesting mix with the rustic striped texture and dotted "thanks" word.  I've enjoyed trying different sponged ink colors to alter this brocade paper, which holds more ink in the background and less in the pearly pattern areas.

Card details:
  • Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) ripe avocado (green) and dark chocolate (brown).
  • Patterned paper is the bitty dot print from PTI ripe avocado pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired) and Paper Source "brocade taupe" pattern (retired).
  • To change the color of my shimmery brocade patterned paper from its original taupe, I used a round Ranger ink blending tool with PTI honey nut (golden brown) and terra cotta tile (rusty red) ink cubes.  See this post for a card with the original taupe color.
  • Embossing folder is Sizzix Tim Holtz stripes
  • Die is from My Favorite Things many thanks (retired).
Created for Operation: Quiet Comfort.
