Goldfinch on Green - Sympathy

A softly monochrome green background with a bright bird.  A hopeful combination for this sympathy card.

Card details:

• Card stock is Paper Source spruce (their older, discontinued version - dark green) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) leaf shimmer (light green) and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is unknown, from the "free" table at our monthly card making group.
  
• Dies are from PTI spring woods, Elizabeth Craft "with sympathy" (retired), and My Favorite Things grande greenery - solid.
  
• The bird is from PTI spring woods, stamped with PTI bright buttercup (yellow) ink and Versafine onyx black pigment ink.

Blue and Brown Diagonal Stripes on Gray

My colors are rather dull, but the diagonal stripe layout, the repeated ring and circle patterns, and the baker's twine give this card some liveliness. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Paper Source cement (gray).
• Patterned paper is from Pink & Main pumpkin spice 6 x 6" pad (retired).
• Twine is ocean stripe from The Twinery. 
• The sentiment "thank you" is from Papertrey Ink (PTI )wonderful words: thank you (retired), stamped with PTI blueberry sky (blue) and Hawaiian shores (turquoise) inks to match the blue-green patterned paper and twine.

Lavender Butterfly with Purple and Green

When I began my design for this card, I thought I'd cut the dotted green paper to fit behind the lavender butterfly.  But it looked great as a rectangle layer.  So I placed it and the polka dot rectangle on the diagonal, with a diagonal word.  I like the playful effect.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) plum pudding (purple) and lavender moon.
• Patterned paper is from PTI spring rain (green) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired) and PTI polka dot parade 8 x 8" paper, petite scale.
  
• Embossing folder is Darice honeycomb.  I used the debossed side of the card stock. 
• Dies are PTI life is beautiful (butterfly - retired) and Elizabeth Craft hello (retired).

Red Alphabet with Navy and Kraft

A bright red embossed alphabet is the background for my navy and kraft sentiment panel.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), dark indigo (dark navy), and classic kraft.
• Embossing folder is The Paper Studio typewriter alphabet. 
  
• Frame die is from PTI infinity frames.  
• Asterisk is punched with EK Success comic asterisk. 
• "Thanks" is cut with Silhouette Cameo. The word is enlarged from Silhouette box and flower tags set.

Red, White, and Blue Stars on Blue Stripes

Diecut stars in red, white, and blue make a bold effect against a blue striped background.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), enchanted evening (dark blue), and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is from PTI enchanted evening pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• Dies are from PTI star gazer (tiny blue stars and red strip with cutout stars), PTI number the stars banner (retired), and Elizabeth Craft thanks.

Goldfinch on Aqua Circle

Simple and elegant.  The knotted twine was the finishing touch that it needed.  

Note: the gray border is background, not part of the card.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) new leaf (green) and stamper's select white. 
• My stencil material is Yupo paper, cut with a backing of Xyron repositionable adhesive, using a 2-5/8" circle from Spellbinders standard circles small die collection.  I used the e.l.f total face brush to apply PTI aqua mist ink.
• Twine is PTI true black baker's twine.  I used a 1/8" hole punch to notch the top and botttom of the card.
  
• Dies are from PTI spring woods and Savvy Stamps tall branches with leaves.
  
• The bird is from PTI spring woods, and the sentiment "thinking of you" is from PTI sentiment staples: thinking of you, stamped with PTI smokey shadow (dark gray) and summer sunrise (yellow-orange) inks.

Chevrons - Purple and Turquoise

Lots of energy from the chevron print and die cut along with the strong diagonal background lines.  The purple and turquoise colors work well together.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) Hawaiian shores (turquoise), white shimmer, and onyx (black) shimmer)
• Patterned paper is from Pink & Main not too spooky (retired) 6 x 6" paper pad.  I edged it with Copic 100 (black) marker for better contrast against the turquoise.
  
• Embossing folder is Darice diagonal stripe background.
  
• Dies are from PTI chevron stripes border collection (narrow width) and Altenew bold greetings.
