Leaf Thank You

The leaf theme appears in the embossed background, the patterned paper, and the stamping.  In real life, the ink is a very good match for the patterned paper.

Blue Thanks with Banner

For these cards, I used the same elements and a few card stock colors with the green, yellow, and red printed-border papers.  The green card above might be my favorite.

Card details:

• Card stock is My Favorite Things red hot, Paper Source royal blue, and Papertrey Ink (PTI) bright buttercup (deeper yellow on green and red cards) and sun shimmer (lighter yellow on yellow card).
  
• Patterned paper is from PTI simple impressions: celebrations A2 paper pack.

• Dies are from My Favorite Things party banner (retired), PTI star gazer, and Ink to Paper/PTI to die for sentiments: cursive thanks.

Red, White, and Blue Gingham on Yellow Woodgrain

Bold red, white, and blue gingham prints, with wood grain textured yellow and a baker's twine bow.  Diagonal placement adds energy to the simple design.

• Patterned paper is from Echo Park America 6 x 6" pad (retired).
• Embossing folder is The Paper Studio woodgrain.
  
• Twine is midnight blue stripe from The Twinery.

Green Swatches with Tag

To try out a new-to-me medium green color of card stock, I enjoyed making this swatch card.  I like the sentiment tag with some rough knotted twine.

• Card stock is Paper Source eucalyptus (medium green) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) pinefeather (dark green) and rustic white. 
• Patterned paper is from PTI argyle socks 8x8" patterned paper.

Aqua, Brown, and Cream with Script Print Leaves

I like the curved leaf shapes with the flowing script lines, printed and embossed.  A blocky "hello" rectangle adds some contrast.

• Patterned paper is the script text print from PTI dearest Jane 8-1/2 x 11"

Red, White, and Blue with Pen

A few simple elements make a bold red, white, and blue card.  I like the diagonal sentiment strip with the diagonal pen. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), enchanted evening (dark blue), weathervane (gray), and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is my homemade script background (see this card), printed on Neenah solar white with blue ink. 
• I edged the top and bottom of the sentiment strip with a Copic B45 marker.
  
• The sentiment "just a note" is from PTI keep it simple: just a note, stamped with PTI pure poppy ink.
• Dies are from PTI ink it in.  To make the pen's tip red, I touched it to my ink pad.

Navy Butterflies on Light Orange

Today's card colors were inspired by a beautiful sunset sky.  I like the crisp dotted print of the butterflies against the soft tone-on-tone background.

• Patterned paper is from PTI melon berry (light orange) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired) and PTI dark indigo bitty big pattern pack.

• Dies are Impression Obsession butterflies and an unidentified "hello" die by Taylored Expressions.

Red Scalloped Circle with Turquoise Stripes

Bright colors with stripes, circles, and stars.  Lots of energy!

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), summer sunrise (yellow-orange), and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is from PTI Hawaiian shores (turquoise) bitty big pattern pack.

Green Print with Leaves

A monochromatic card with a variety of contrast and texture.  A friend saw the patterned paper as a tree trunk and the roughly striped background as the forest.  I like the curvy leaves and sentiment font against the straight lines and angles.

Multicolored Flowers on Yellow

A cheerful and summery design for our church shut-ins.  

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) lemon tart (light yellow) and stamper's select white. 
• Dies are from PTI notched flowers and turning a new leaf (retired). 
• The flowers are from PTI funky florals, stamped with PTI amethyst allure (purple), Hawaiian shores (turquoise), berry sorbet (pink), harvest gold (medium yellow), and orange zest inks. 
• The leaves are from PTI turning a new leaf (retired), stamped with PTI green parakeet ink.
  
• The sentiment "sending sunshine" is from PTI keep it simple: encouragement (retired), stamped with PTI orange zest ink.  After the first stamping, I moved my card stock slightly L-R in the MISTI and restamped it for a bolder font effect.

Yellow Stars with Blue Thanks

A one-layer card with stenciled stars in two shades of yellow.  A blue shimmer card stock "thanks" and a knotted double wrap of blue striped twine add some dimension and texture. 

 Note: the gray border is background, not part of the card. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) stamper's select white and sapphire shimmer. 
• Stencils are from PTI seeing stars stencil collection, sponged with PTI bright buttercup (yellow - larger stars) and summer sunrise (yellow-orange - smaller stars) inks, using the round Ranger ink blending tool to apply the ink.
• Twine is PTI enchanted evening baker's twine.  To wrap and hold the twine around the card front, I punched a tiny hole near the top fold and a notch at the bottom.
  
• Die is from My Favorite Things many thanks (retired).

Star Frame with Banner

Two cheerful cards with a bright center panel.  The original card (above) has a star frame and banner, and for a birthday version (below), I added a bird and some star accents to the banner. 

 Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), blueberry sky (medium blue), and enchanted evening (dark blue - bottom card). 
• Patterned paper is from PTI blueberry sky and lemon tart (yellow) pattern packs (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• Dies are from PTI border bling: skinny star frames, PTI wonderful words: hello (retired - top card), PTI bold borders: wave (celebrate word - bottom card), My Favorite Things party banner (retired), WPlus9 folk art florals (retired - bird - bottom card), and PTI star gazer (tiny stars - bottom card).

Star Thanks on Polka Dots

A layered star and a layered "thanks" word, layered with a stitched brown strip onto polka dots.

Blue and Yellow Stars on Kraft

Muted colors, with energy from the angled stars and the brush-textured sentiment.  The elements all have a distressed style, including the kraft background.

• Dies are from PTI seeing stars (retired) and noted: simply stitched A2 vertical.

• The stars are from PTI military stars, stamped with PTI blueberry sky, enchanted evening (dark blue), and bright buttercup (yellow) inks.  The center accents are added with PTI land that I love (retired - left and middle stars) and Y15 Copic marker (right star). 
• The stripes are from PTI distressed stripes (retired), stamped with PTI Americana (rustic red) ink.

Bright colors accented with black and white dots and a curvy black sentiment.  Embossed texture adds emphasis to the narrow aqua border.
