Green Butterfly on Flowered Background

A bright and happy card for last Sunday's challenge (fall to layout #65) on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog.

The biggest challenge for me was stamping an overall background pattern!  I'm very tied to my MISTI for biggish stamps, like these flowers, but I found a way to make it work.  I placed the large flower stamp in the upper center area of my MISTI lid and moved my A2 around "randomly" (often partly outside the MISTI base) to stamp my yellow-orange flowers.  Then repeated with the smaller flower stamp in turquoise.  The green florets and teal "hello" were stamped without the MISTI.

I'm very happy with my finished background and my overall card.  Thanks, Natasha, for once again nudging me outside my comfort zone.

Note: the gray border is background, not part of the card.

Card details:
  • Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) green parakeet, Hawaiian shores (turquoise), and stamper's select white.
  • Butterfly die is from PTI life is beautiful.
  • The sentiment "hello" is from PTI winter woods, stamped with PTI tropical teal ink cube
  • The flowers are from PTI floral fusion (no longer available), stamped with PTI summer sunrise (yellow-orange), Hawaiian shores, and green parakeet ink cubes.
