Green Plaid with Wreath on Teal

Today's card is built on a pre-printed plaid template - the large pinked white circle with dotted border is part of the printed design. To finish the card, I added layers - a pinked teal circle and a plain white circle with a stamped wreath and sentiment.

The patterned paper pack included a few different colors, so I used the same wreath element on a teal pinked circle with the red plaid and on a red pinked circle with the turquoise plaid. I like the colorful, cheerful result.

Card details:

Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) tropical teal and stamper's select white.
Patterned paper is from PTI simple impressions: celebrations A2 paper pack.
Dies are from PTI limitless layers: 2-1/2" circles (pinked circle) and Spellbinders standard circles large (plain circle - die #4 of 7).
The sentiment "just a note" is from PTI winter woods; the leafy stem, which I curved on the MISTI lid to make a wreath effect, is from PTI gathered garden; and the single flower is from PTI out on a limb revised (retired), stamped with PTI tropical teal, green parakeet, and pure poppy (red) inks.

Operation: Quiet Comfort

Starting in early 2016, most of my cards are now made for Operation: Quiet Comfort.
As explained on their web site, "Operation Quiet Comfort exists solely for the purpose of honoring and comforting America’s military men and women who become sick and injured while serving in harm’s way. We also provide support to those who care for them. We collect, package and ship supplies for U.S. Military men and women receiving care at medical facilities abroad." These packages also include cards with messages of support and encouragement ... "thinking of you, patriotic, thank you, cheerful cards." I'm happy to have the opportunity to support our troops in this way.

About My Cards and My Blog

Unless noted otherwise, all my cards are A2 size - 4.25 x 5.5" when folded.

I was making cards long before I started stamping, so for my card images, I sometimes will do my own line drawing, then color it with markers. To use it multiple times, I scan it before coloring, then computer-print it. For more on my drawing process, see "How I Draw," and also "Anybody Can Draw."

I use Copic markers (I prefer "original" and also have some of the "sketch" type), Copic multiliner pens, and the Copic airbrush (airbrushing with my markers). See "About My Tools and Materials" for my Copic colors and other tools, materials, supplies and sources. Techniques and materials may also be noted in the blog post.

I will post a few times a month, whenever I have a new card to share. For cards before 2012, the date on the post is the approximate date of the card, not always the posting date. Reference posts like "About My Labels" are filed together as 1973, but are much newer.
