Red, White, and Blue with Blue Stars

Crisp red, white, and blue with layered star border and "thanks" word.  Two strands of twine add more texture.

• Card stock is Hero Arts azure (royal blue) layering paper and Papertrey Ink (PTI) spring rain (light blue), pure poppy (red), and stamper's select white. 
• Red, white, and blue twine is by Doodlebug.
• Dies are from PTI huge thanks and My Favorite Things western star border duo (retired).

Light Orange Stripes with Kraft and Cream

To start my card, I stamped a four-color pattern onto cream card stock.  It should be a very symmetrical, evenly spaced pattern, but I placed the stamp wrong in my MISTI.  It still gave me an interesting result, and I chose an informal sentiment font to go with the uneven pattern.  I like the colors and the mix of diamonds and stripes.

 Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) classic kraft and vintage cream. 
• Patterned paper is from PTI melon berry (light orange) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired).
• Dies are from Trinity Stamps scripty thanks.
• The pattern is from Concord & 9th lovely lattice turnabout, stamped with PTI melon berry, canyon clay (orangey brown), honey nut (golden brown), and classic kraft inks.

Bright Scene with Fence, Birds, and Cat

Small die cuts arranged for a summery scene.  I like the bright colors and the wood grain texture of the white fence. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Essentials by Ellen white woodgrain, Paper Source royal blue, and Papertrey Ink (PTI) spring rain (light blue), vintage jadeite (light green), canyon clay (orangey brown), hibiscus burst (pink), and bright buttercup (yellow). 
• Dies are from Paper Smooches silhouette flowers (retired), Impression Obsession cat set, Impression Obsession small bird set, PTI picket fence, and PTI ad sense (sun shape). 
• Bow punch is Martha Stewart bow.
• I used a brown Micron pen to add the cat's eyes and a Copic G14 (green) marker to color the flower stems.
  
• The sentiment "just a note to say hello" is from PTI banner sentiments (retired), stamped with PTI new leaf (green) ink.

Muted Red, White, and Blue with Diagonal Stripes

A simple layout with muted colors.  I like the double lines in the "thankful" stamp with the double diagonal stripes. 

 Card details:

• Card stock is Stampin' Up (SU) soft sky (light blue) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) Americana (rustic red), enchanted evening (dark blue), and stamper's select white. 
• Embossing folder is SU subtle (retired).
  
• The stripes are from Concord & 9th pinstripe background (stamped twice, a short distance apart), and the sentiment "thankful for you" is from PTI beautiful berries: autumn, stamped with PTI Americana and enchanted evening inks.

A bright red, white, and blue card, with starry and dotted prints separated by a thin strip of white.  The tan woodgrain background adds some depth.

• Card stock is Neenah solar white, My Favorite Things red hot, and Essentials by Ellen tan woodgrain.
  
• Patterned paper is from Doodlebug patriotic picnic 6x6" paper pad.
• Dies are from Elizabeth Craft hello (retired) and Papertrey Ink sketched shapes.

Butterfly Sympathy - Tan with Blue

When I saw a sheet of this muted blue and tan print on the "free" table at our monthly cardmaking group, I thought of a butterfly-themed sympathy card.  The white butterfly and sentiment banner contrast well with the softer background colors. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Paper Source lake (blue) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) rustic white.
• Patterned paper is by The Paper Studio.
  
• Dies are from PTI life is beautiful (butterfly - retired), number the stars banner (retired), and noted: simply stitched A2 vertical.
• The sentiment "with deepest sympathy" is from PTI spring woods (retired), stamped with Memento rich cocoa (brown) ink.

Gray, Red, and Blue with Stars

Printed, stamped, and embossed stars in a muted red, white, and blue color scheme with gray. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) stormy sea (gray), enchanted evening (dark blue), and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is from Bo Bunny firecracker 6 x 6" pad (retired).
• Embossing folder is The Paper Studio tiny stars.  I used the debossed side of the card stock.
  
• Dies are from WeR Memory Keepers/ Lifestyle Crafts nesting circles (retired - 1-3/4 and 2" circles). 
• The sentiment "thanks" is from PTI grunge me (retired), and the three-star cluster (stamped three times) is from PTI masculine motifs (retired), stamped with PTI enchanted evening and stormy sea inks.
