Round Rainbow Card

Today's "Round R" challenge on the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog is to "make a card with, if possible, all circular elements - and things starting with the letter R." Given my love for circle punches and bright colors, it was a short step for me to think of a "round rainbow" with a rainbow sentiment. Added January 29: As much as I liked my idea for this, I wasn't really happy with the finished card. So I revised it for the first Stars and Stamps "Saturday Seminar - Creating a Focal Point." To see my Before and After post, click here.

I used 7 sizes of circle punches (3/4" to 2-1/4") including two scalloped circles. The colors are in ROYGBIV rainbow sequence. The card stock colors (all Papertrey Ink, except as noted) are pure poppy, orange zest, harvest gold, new leaf, Hawaiian shores, azure (Hero Arts), and plum pudding, on a base layer of Paper Source frost luxe (textured light gray). I printed the sentiment "Wishing you a rainbow of happiness" on my computer, using "Marker Felt" outline font.

Pinwheel Card - Aqua with Yellow

I had fun making this card, my first pinwheel, with the help of a very easy-to-follow pinwheel tutorial from Sheryl's Crafting Corner. Thank you, Sheryl!

The card stock is Paper Source peacock (dark turquoise) and Papertrey Ink lemon tart (yellow), Hawaiian shores (medium aqua), and aqua mist (light aqua base layer.) I drew the stripes on the yellow squares with Copic markers B01 and B05. The sentiment "Celebrate!" is computer-printed with dark turquoise ink in "Lucida Calligraphy" font.

Button Dots Card - Blue with Brown

Blue and brown dots. Faux buttons. Embroidery floss.

I drew the 1/2" dots with Copic multiliner, using my plastic circles template, and added some dots and lines for the three light blue "buttons." The dots, the lines under the sentiment, and the embroidery floss are all colored with B41, B45, and YR14 Copic marker. The floss is an "off brand," not my favorite DMC, so it looks a bit dull and rough, which actually works well on this card.

The white cardstock is Neenah, and the blue is Papertrey Ink blueberry sky, including the 3/4" faux button at the top. The sentiment "Thinking of you" is computer-printed with "Lucida Handwriting" font.

Three Heart Card - Dark Blue with Yellow

Another simple design. Three punched hearts on a vertical line.

The card stock is Papertrey Ink harvest gold (yellow) and enchanted evening (dark blue - darker and not so blue-green in real life) on a white card base. The 1" heart punch is EK Success. My vertical line was drawn with cobalt Copic multiliner.

The sentiment "love" is computer-printed in dark blue ink with Helvetica font (small caps). The "o" is two PowerPoint heart shapes nested together. Click here for another card with the heart-shaped "o."

An anniversary card for my brother and sister-in-law. And then I made a few more for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." (044)

Two Dot Card - Turquoise and Light Green

I was planning a fancier card. But as I was working on it, I found myself drawn to this very simple version.

The card stock is Paper Source peacock (turquoise) and Papertrey Ink spring moss (light green) on a white card base. The sentiment "thinking of you" is computer-printed with "Lucida Handwriting" font in turquoise ink. The EK Success circle punches are 1-3/4" and 1-1/4" scalloped. (043)

Brown and Orange Scallops Card

Scallops and circles on rectangles. I like this one a lot. In real life, the colors go well together. My photo isn't very good, but the scan was worse.

My layout is based on Clean and Simple Stamping's card sketch 121. The card stock is Papertrey Ink kraft (card base) and dark chocolate (dark brown) with Paper Source papaya (soft orange). The concentric circle pattern - the same one I used in this post - was colored with Copic markers and punched out with a 1-1/2" circle punch. The dark brown outer circle is EK Success 2" scalloped circle punch. I used my Fiskars "cloud" scissors for the bottom scallops. The sentiment "Hello" is computer-printed in brown ink with Lucida Calligraphy font. (042)

Like most of my cards, this was created for Operation Write Home (OWH), "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." OWH just reached a milestone of 750,000 cards shipped to our deployed troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations. There were 250,000 just from August-December! I'm happy to have a (very small) part in the accomplishment. And in this Advent season of peace, praying for a time when it's no longer needed.

Blue Stripe Flower Card

I made this card to send to the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores headquarters, to thank them for their wonderful "Craft for a Cause" donation to the Operation Write Home organization. Most of my cards are created for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them."

Added February 10, 2011 : Although I liked this card, I wanted to see if I could make it better. So I revised it for the first Stars and Stamps "Saturday Seminar - Creating a Focal Point." To see my Before and After post, click here.

My layout is based on Clean and Simple Stamping's card sketch 120. I drew the striped paper using Copic markers B01, B14, B24, B26, B45, B63, and BG45 and sky blue Copic multiliner on white Neenah card stock. The rest of the card stock is Paper Source lake (medium blue) on a white card base.

The 1/4" twill ribbon is colored with BG45. The large outer paper flower is colored with B000, B63, and Custom color B2000. The inner flower is colored with BG45 and BV000. The center gem is colored with BG49. The sentiment "thanks" is computer-printed in dark blue ink using Lucida Calligraphy font. (041a)

Christmas Card 2010

This year, my husband asked me to make our Christmas cards with one of my drawings. It's a Nativity scene from my 2008 Advent calendar. The handwritten caption at the bottom of the drawing is "Unto us a child is born" from Isaiah 9:6. The card is computer-printed on Neenah card stock. (040)

Two Valentines with Pink Plaid Paper

Two different Valentine designs with mostly the same ingredients. A circular "love you" sentiment layered on a strip of homemade pink plaid paper (drawn with Copic markers) on a wider strip of red or pink. I like the simplicity of both cards, and I'm very happy with the heart-shaped "o's" in my computer-printed "love you."

Created for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." Card details are at the end of the post. (039)

Card details - Both cards: Sentiment was computer-printed with Helvetica font (small caps, outlined). The "o's" are PowerPoint heart shapes nested together. Pink plaid paper was drawn with Copic multiliners (black, red, and pink) and Copic markers RV02, RV10, RV29, RV32, RV34, and R32, and "0" colorless blender on a scrap of terry cloth to soften the lines. Colored card stock is PaperTrey Ink hibiscus burst (pink) and pure poppy (red.) Card base is white, size A2.
Top card: Plaid strip was edged with RV29. Sentiment letters were colored with RV29 and RV34. Sentiment background was airbrushed with RV34. Ribbon is 1/8" silk, colored with RV34. Punches are 1-1/2" and scalloped 2" circles.
Bottom card: Plaid strip was edged with RV34. Sentiment background was colored with RV29, and the hearts inside the "o's" with RV34. Punches are 1-3/4" circle and large EK Success heart.

Heart Trio Cards

Three cards, each with three nested heart trios and a ribbon tied across the top.

I created the heart pattern with PowerPoint and colored the inner and outer hearts with Copic markers. Card details are listed at the bottom of this post.

The cards are for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." Already working on Valentine cards, which will travel for weeks in the mail, overseas to the troops and back to their loved ones. (038)

Pink and Black Heart with Stripes Card

A small pink and black heart with stripes of ribbon, card stock, and faux stitching. In real life, the light pink is much brighter, and the colors work well together.

I drew the heart on a white Inchie (1" square matboard) and colored it with Copic markers RV02,06,34 and 100 black. I added clear embossing on the heart, to give it some shine, and dots of fl. pink Gelly Roll pen on the black area.

The 5/8" stripes are satin ribbon (colored pink with RV34) and card stock (Papertrey Ink true black). I drew the faux stitching with black Copic multiliner and fl. pink Gelly Roll pen. The sentiment "Love you..." is computer-printed on the white card base with Papyrus font (small caps) and underlined with multiliner and RV34.

My Purple Card in Afghanistan!

Most of my cards are created for Operation Write Home (OWH), "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." Mine are a teeny-tiny fraction of the thousands of beautiful handmade cards lovingly created by hundreds of people for OWH. So it was really amazing to see one of my cards in a photo from Afghanistan!

Yes, that's my purple "warm fuzzies to you" card, held by the hero wearing sunglasses. Love all their smiles! What fun to bring a few smiles to our heroes and their families and friends. And of course, I have a really big smile seeing this photo. Now it's time to make more cards!

Green Large Dots Card with Purple Flowers (Before and After)

When Operation Write Home (OWH) requested "no more handwritten sentiments," as I discussed in another post, I had some cards in my OWH stash that needed rework. For most of them, it wasn't hard to cover up or replace the handwritten sentiment with a computer-printed version.

But redoing this card was more of a challenge. (See original version below.) I really wanted a curved sentiment to flow around the circles, and the WordArt feature in my Office for Mac software does not make it easy to do that. After a lot of tinkering, I'm happy with the result. (Posted above.) I saved it in PowerPoint as a template to use again, because it's a layout I really like.

The card stock is Papertrey Ink ripe avocado (dark green) and spring moss (light green), edged with Copic marker YG23. The sentiment "Thinking of you" is computer-printed with Papyrus font. The Hero Arts flowers are colored with Copic markers V000, V12, and a touch of V04. The gems in the centers are tinted green with YG95.

Bright Concentric Circles Card

Three bright squares with concentric circles. A few bright lines. Inspired by this layout (#113) from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog.

I used PowerPoint to print concentric circles onto Neenah. I colored them and then cut them into 1-1/4" squares. I used Copic markers YG05, BG45, V04, and RV06 for coloring, including the lines above and below.

The purple background is a 1-1/2" strip of Papertrey Ink plum pudding card stock. The sentiment "Celebrate!" is computer-printed on the white card base using Papyrus font (small caps).

Blue Flower Card with Large Scallops

Scallops and flower made with punched circles.

The circles are 1-3/4" and 3/4". The card stock is Papertrey Ink spring rain (light blue) and enchanted evening (dark blue) on a base of Paper Source frost luxe (textured light gray).

The sentiment is computer-printed with blue ink using Lucida Calligraphy font. The white 3/8" twill ribbon is colored with Copic marker B41, and the dotted lines are Copic sky blue multiliner.

Two More Red Cards with Lists

This is a newer version of my two red cards with lists, one with a To Do list (enjoy, smile, have fun, laugh, celebrate) and one with a Reminders list (I love you, x's and o's, I miss you, little hearts, and You're in my heart -always).

Two things are new in this version: First, instead of a button, I used a circle punched from Ellen Hutson's craft-a-board. Second, instead of doing the lists and "memo book" lines by hand, I used my computer (PowerPoint) to print them. The fonts are "American Typewriter" font on the To Do card and "Handwriting - Dakota" font on the Reminders card.

For card construction details and the earlier version, click here. Created for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." (006)

Turquoise and Black Card - Diamond Pattern

Shades of turquoise with black. A simple diamond pattern.

I used my computer (PowerPoint) to make the black lines for my diamond pattern, which is intentionally uneven. After printing a full sheet of lines on Neenah, I cut a 1" x 4.5" strip, colored the diamonds with Copic markers, and then cut it into three 1" x 1.5" rectangles.

The marker colors are B01, BG05, BG32, and BG45, with B000, BG000, BG10, and B21 for shading and layering. The turquoise (Papertrey Ink Hawaiian shores) and black layers are on a white card base. The sentiment, "Thinking of you," is printed from the computer (Papyrus font) and underlined with Copic multiliner.

Big Hello Card

The HELLO is big, and the card is A2 (5.5 x 4.25") as usual. My colors look a bit "off" in the scan, especially the blues, but in real life, they go together well.

I used Word Art (in Word) to make the black outline of "hello," then printed it on Neenah. The letters are hand colored with B26 and R29 Copic markers. The stripes above and below the sentiment are drawn with B24 and R29 markers and with cobalt Copic multiliner. The red "ribbon" and dark blue middle layer are Papertrey Ink pure poppy and enchanted evening card stock. All on a white card base.

Three Dot Card - Chartreuse with Dark Blue

Striking colors, simple lines, and a bit of doodling. For two other cards that I made with a similar layout, click here.

The large dark blue dots are 1-3/4" circle punches. For the decorated dot, I used my cobalt Copic multiliner to doodle a scalloped line near the edge of a chartreuse 1-1/4" scalloped circle. I colored inside my scalloped line with YG05 Copic marker, and attached a dark blue 1/2" dot for the center. The off-center placement is intentional!

The card stock is Papertrey Ink Enchanted Evening (dark blue) and Simply Chartreuse (yellow-green). The 5/8" ribbon is white, colored with B45 Copic marker. The sentiment, "Thinking of you," is computer-printed with "Lucida Handwriting" font in cobalt ink. I underlined it with cobalt multiliner and YG05 marker.

Pastel Flower Dot Cards

A simple design with scalloped circles, ribbon, and embroidery floss, all colored with Copic markers. Light green (above) and pink (below) on ivory. It didn't seem to need a sentiment, so I didn't add one.

The base layer and center 1.25" scallop are Neenah baronial ivory, a yellowish cream color. I colored the ribbon and outer 2" scalloped circle with Copic marker G40 (green) and RV10 (pink).

The embroidery floss center is a mix of cream with pink or green. I made the pink and green floss from white, colored with G40 or RV10. After separating the floss into individual strands, I used a very small crochet hook to pull it (all at the same time) through a 1/8" punched hole. The floss is adhered with Scor Tape on the back and a dot of Ranger Glossy Accents on the front.

Sentiments

Most of my cards are created for Operation Write Home (OWH) "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them."

I really appreciate the easy, clear OWH guidelines for cards, including the reasons why. Recently, they have requested "no handwritten sentiments," for reasons discussed in the guidelines.

I'm not a stamper, and I enjoy hand writing my sentiments, as shown in previous blog posts. But for sentiments on OWH cards, I'll use my computer and printer from now on.

The printing option works well for me. My printer can handle most card stock, at least in small doses. (See "tip" at end of post.) There are some nice fonts in my Office for Mac software, and I can easily vary the ink to go with my color scheme.

I like to leave my cards blank inside. For the card front, I prefer simple sentiments like "thinking of you," "hello," or "love you, miss you." Sometimes, no sentiment at all. Other sentiment examples for a special design include "you are my sunshine" or "so sweet."

Papyrus and Lucida Calligraphy are two of the card-friendly fonts that came with my Mac versions of Word and PowerPoint. In future blog posts, I'll list the font that I used.

Tip - To make one small printed element,
  1. Print the sentiment first on plain paper.
  2. Use removable tape to position a small piece of card stock over the sentiment. Note: I make sure the top of the card stock is completely "smoothed over" with tape, to prevent its getting caught in my printer. "Know your printer" before trying this technique.
  3. Run the plain-paper-with-small-piece through the printer again.
  4. If needed, punch or trim to exact size.
  5. This also works well for my printer with an A2 (4.25" x 5.5") piece, if the card stock is a bit too stiff to feed in its full 8.5x11" size.

Blue Plaid Cards with Tags - Set of Four

Four similar cards (one shown above and the others below) with plaid paper. The sentiment tags are tied on with ribbon.

I drew the plaid paper on white Neenah with sky blue and cobalt Copic multiliners and assorted blue and blue-green Copic markers. The base card stock layers are Papertrey Ink Hawaiian shores (medium blue-green) (above), Paper Source peacock (dark blue-green), Paper Source lake (medium blue), and Papertrey Ink enchanted evening (dark blue).

The white 1/4" satin ribbon was dyed in a small plastic bag with a few drops of Copic B01 and B41 ink. The sentiments "Love you, miss you" were computer-printed in Lucida Calligraphy font with blue-gray ink on white Neenah. I used a corner rounder punch and 1/8" hole punch to make the tags.

Purple Plaid Dot Flowers

Purple plaid flowers. Love my circle punches. For other cards featuring punched circle shapes, click on the label "circle punches," below or in the label list on the right.

The card base is Paper Source violet. The plaid is hand drawn on white Neenah, using V000, V04, V15, and BV00 Copic markers and purple Copic multiliner. The lacy-edged ribbon is colored with V04. I used purple multiliner and V04 marker to draw and color the stems and leaves.

The flowers are 3 layers of dots, adhered with Xyron, edged with V04, as follows: top layer 3/4" plaid, middle layer 1" violet card stock, bottom layer 1-1/4" scalloped Neenah colored with V04.

Wedge Flower Card in Red, Yellow and Turquoise

Nothing Copic on this card! a rarity for me. Just card stock and, for the sentiment, red ink.

The flower was made with a large red dot (1 3/4" circle punch) cut into 8 wedges and spread out from the center. The yellow background dot is also 1 3/4", the yellow center dot is 3/4", and the red center dot is 1/2" with a 1/4" dot punched out (making a red donut shape). All adhered with Scor-Tape.

The card stock is Papertrey Ink harvest gold (yellow), Hawaiian shores (turquoise), and pure poppy (red). The sentiment "hello" is computer-printed with Papyrus font.

Three Dot Card - Kraft with Peach - and Multicolored Variation

Three large dots with doodled patterns. A few lines and a knotted bit of twill. I like it a lot. My design was inspired by this layout from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog. Though I'm not a stamper, I've learned a lot from those who are!

The card stock is Papertrey Ink berry sorbet (peach) and kraft. The dots were punched with my 1-3/4" circle punch, and I cut one of the dots in two for the ends. The sentiment "Thinking of you" was printed from my computer in "Lucida Handwriting" font. The doodles and lines were done with Copic multiliner and markers (E43 and R24), and I colored the 3/8" twill ribbon with my R32 marker. All adhered with Scor Tape.

For the multicolored variation below, I used Papertrey Ink harvest gold (yellow), simply chartreuse (green), and Hawaiian shores (turquoise) card stock for the dots, layered on a strip of black paper on a white card base. I used a corner rounder punch on the bottom corners of the card. The dark stripes on the dots were drawn using my ovals template (30-degree) and colored with Copic markers B14, G14, and YR15. The stripes below the computer-printed sentiment are BG45, Y21, and YG23

Red and Blue Dots Card with Stars

For this card, I drew two rows of dots (1/2" circles) and drew stars inside three of them. Finished with a knotted strip of ribbon, a computer-printed sentiment "Thinking of you," and a shiny clear epoxy dome sticker on each of the stars.

The gold stars were colored with Y26 Copic marker. The red and blue dots, 3/8" grosgrain ribbon, and bottom stripe were colored with B41, B45, and R29 Copic markers. The white card stock is Neenah, and the dark blue card stock is Papertrey Ink enchanted evening. The font is "Lucida Handwriting."

Embroidered Ribbon Card - Red and White

I found a very old package of embroidered cotton ribbon - Wright's trim for sewing. Beautiful colors and texture. It didn't seem to need much more to make a great card.

The red card stock is Papertrey Ink pure poppy on a white card base. The red and white lines were drawn with gel pen.

Apples Card

This week I bought a box of Gravenstein apples, which came with an old-fashioned advertising postcard. I couldn't resist cutting out the image to use for a greeting card.

The card stock layers are Paper Source frost luxe (light gray, textured) and Hero Arts punch (light red). The knotted ribbon is 3/8" grosgrain colored with a B39 Copic marker. (020)

Orange and Black Doodles Card

A strip of orange and black doodling, cut into rectangles.

To make four cards like this, I used my Copic multiliner to doodle a pattern of wavy lines and circles on a 4" x 4.5" piece of white Neenah card stock. I colored it with Copic markers YR04,YR07,YR09,and YR14. Then I cut it into four strips, each 1" wide.

After labeling the back of each strip with pencil (L-C-R for left-center-right), I cut each strip into three 1.5" pieces. I mounted each set of three onto a 1.5 x 5.5" piece of black paper, with a 1/4" margin outside and between the orange patterned rectangles.

The sentiment is computer-printed in Papyrus font. The orange card stock is Papertrey Ink orange zest. It is all adhered onto a white card base. I used a black Copic multiliner for the horizontal lines.

Doodled Dots Card - Kraft, Cream, and Blue

For this card, I punched four large dots, doodled and colored on them, and drew four more partial circles. With a few lines and stripes of paper, it makes an interesting card.

The punched dots are 1.75", Papertrey Ink vintage cream (top row) and kraft (bottom row) card stock. The partial circles are drawn directly onto the white card base. The sentiment, "Thinking of you," is computer-printed (Chalkduster font) on a 1/2" strip of white card stock and layered on a 1.5" strip of black paper. The lines are black Copic multiliner and white Uni-ball gel pen.

The Copic marker colors are B01 and E43. The E43 is a great match for the kraft paper - just a bit darker, as you can see from the darker brown stripes in the bottom right kraft dot. The B01 on kraft is a very muted color, while on white or cream, it's much brighter.

Green and Purple Stripes Card - and Two Versions in Other Colors

Three very simple cards with stripes of paper, ribbon, and ink. It was fun to play with the colors, and I enjoyed using my new "classic" set of Fiskars paper edger scissors. All were created for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them."

For the first card, above, the base layer is Papertrey Ink spring moss (light green) card stock. The wide outer stripes are Papertrey Ink plum pudding (purple) and ripe avocado (dark green) card stock, edged with ripple pattern. The middle stripe is 1/8" purple satin ribbon from my ribbon bag. All adhered with Scor Tape. I used a purple Copic multiliner for the purple lines. The sentiment, "Thinking of you," is computer-printed in purple ink using Lucida Calligraphy font.

The second card, below, is a blue and gray version. The sentiment is computer-printed with dark blue ink in Lucida Calligraphy font. The dark blue stripes are Papertrey Ink enchanted evening, edged with deckle pattern. The middle stripe is a woven-stripe 3/8" ribbon, colored with B21 and C1 Copic markers. There are also lines of cobalt and cool gray Copic multiliner.

The third, at the bottom, is made with Fall colors. The sentiment "Thinking of you" is computer-printed in medium brown ink with Lucida Calligraphy font. The brown lines are sepia Copic multiliner and E25 Copic marker. The card base is Papertrey Ink melon berry, and the outer stripes are Papertrey Ink terra cotta tile (rust) and dark chocolate (brown), edged with corkscrew pattern. The middle stripe is 1/8" metallic gold tinsel ribbon from Papertrey Ink.

Diagonal Stripe Cards with Daisy Circles

Two cards with diagonal stripes and my daisy drawing in circles. Soft yellow and orange with touches of gold and green. For the second card, see the bottom of this post.

The card stock is Papertrey Ink lemon tart (yellow) and summer sunrise (orange). The sentiment "Thinking of you" is computer-printed with "Lucida Handwriting" font, using ink in deeper shades of the card stock. I used Copic markers for the flowers, their backgrounds, and the diagonal and circular edges.

To create the diagonal stripe, I laid a 6" ruler (1" wide) diagonally across the A2 piece of card stock, then marked each end on both sides of the ruler. I cut the diagonal strips with my paper cutter, taking care to keep the cuts parallel and to line up both colors the same, and pieced it all back together with Scor Tape.

My daisy drawing was scanned and printed on Neenah. Click here for all my cards with the full or partial daisy drawing.

Six Triangle Cards - Blue and Yellow

For this set of cards, I started by making three pieces of homemade patterned paper and cutting them into triangles. I challenged myself to use the triangles for six different cards with just a few "extras." The card above includes all three of my patterned papers. See bottom of this post for the other five cards.

The paper is made by applying Copic ink (Various Ink refills) to white paper with a Ranger Ink felt applicator (Adirondack alcohol ink applicator tool). The speckled paper is G14, B24, and Y15 Copic ink on Neenah white card stock. The light-colored marbled paper is G12, B32, and Y13 on glossy white card stock, and the darker-colored marbled paper is G14, B24, and Y15 on glossy card stock. On the glossy surface, the ink flows just a bit before it dries, creating the marbled effect, while on the matte Neenah surface, it dries immediately for a crisper look. For a very helpful tutorial on the technique, known as polished stone, click here for Lisa Strahl's "Petite Palette" blog post.

Triangle details: I made 3 different A2 sized papers (as described above). I cut the corners off each A2 sheet, giving me 4 triangles and a large diamond, which I cut in half (the long way) to make 2 large triangles. (Total of 12 small and 6 large triangles.) With a 1 3/4" circle punch, I cut a few circles and semicircles from the large triangles.

The solid-colored card stock is Hero Arts azure (deep blue card bases), Papertrey Ink lemon tart (yellow card bases and circle), and Papertrey Ink spring rain (pale blue circles). For the sentiments and lines, I used green Gelly Roll pen, white Uni-ball gel pen, turquoise and sky blue Copic multiliners, and BG32 Copic marker.

The paper flowers are Hero Arts, colored with B21, B32, G12, and Y13 Copic markers; the small gems in the flower centers are tinted with G28 Copic marker. The ribbon behind the flowers is paper ribbon from Paper Source, colored with G14 Copic marker. (015)
