Red, White and Blue with Star on Tan

A stamped diagonal stripe background with a red, white, and blue panel.  A wide red border reinforces the red reverse-print "thank you" sentiment. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Essentials by Ellen tan woodgrain (medium tan) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) fine linen (light tan), pure poppy (red), enchanted evening (dark blue), and rustic white. 
• Die is from My Favorite Things stacking stars (retired).
  
• The stripes are from Concord & 9th pinstripe background (stamped twice, a short distance apart), stamped with PTI enchanted evening and pure poppy inks. 
• The tiny repeating sentiment "thank you" is from PTI fill in the blank (retired), stamped with PTI blueberry sky (medium blue) and pure poppy inks.

Purple Stripes with Argyle Print

I felt like using some purple, so I made a set of cards with a Halloween-ish color mood.  The argyle and stripe patterns balance nicely with the bright sentiment strip.  I'll save the cards to mail in October.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) orange zest, tropical teal, and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned papers are from PTI plum pudding (purple) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired) and Pink & Main not too spooky (retired) 6 x 6" paper pad.
• Die is from PTI double ended banners.
• The sentiment "thinking of you" is from PTI keep it simple: thinking of you (retired), stamped with PTI true black ink.

Blue with Bright Green Leaves

Bright and summery with lots of color contrast and texture.  The rickrack grounds the die cut leaves and connects them to the leafy embossed background.

Card details:

• Card stock is Hero Arts azure (blue) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) new leaf (deeper green) and limeade ice (bright yellow-green). 
• Embossing folder is Darice vine background.
• Dies are Elizabeth Craft hello (retired), PTI XL rickrack border, and Savvy Stamps tall branches with leaves.  (I trimmed off the bottom leaves of the set's smaller die cut to make my short lower right branch.)

Blue Prints on Rustic Red

A muted red, white, and blue color scheme with a mix of patterns and textures.  The blue panel is rather static, but the swirling texture of the card base helps keep the eye moving.

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) Americana (rustic red), spring rain (light blue), and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned papers are from PTI enchanted evening (dark blue) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired).
  
• Embossing folders are Stampin' Up subtle (retired) and Cuttlebug d'vine swirls (retired).
• Die is from PTI fabulous frames (retired).
  
• The sentiment "thank you" is from Pattern Happy mini greetings (retired), stamped with PTI Americana ink.

Red and White Star Banner on Muted Teal

Bright red and white, with a muted teal instead of blue.  The star banner and sentiment look crisp and bold on the dotted print background.

 Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red) and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is from PTI ocean tides (muted teal) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• Dies are My Favorite Things party banner (star banner - retired) and PTI number the stars banner (sentiment banner - retired). 
• I punched out the stars with a Fiskars 1/4" punch and inlaid the white into the red.
  
• The sentiment "thanks" is from PTI thanks all ways (retired), stamped with PTI pure poppy ink.
