Lattice Squares - Red, White, and Blue with Gold

Bright colors and a textured background for today's card.  I like the crisp diamond lattice stamping layered on the embossed curve pattern.  

 Card details:

• Card stock is Neenah solar white and Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), enchanted evening (dark blue), and harvest gold. 
• Die is PTI bold borders: wave (retired) (for embossing the blue panel).  
• The banner is cut with Silhouette Cameo.  
• The lattice pattern is Concord & 9th lovely lattice turnabout (retired), and the sentiment "thinking of you" is from PTI keep it simple (thinking of you (retired), stamped with PTI enchanted evening, blueberry sky (medium blue), harvest gold, and pure poppy inks.

Christmas Card 2025

This year's Christmas card is a Nativity scene from my 2023 Advent calendar.  It's computer-printed with a white border on Neenah solar white card stock. 

Since 2010, I've used one of my annual Nativity drawings for the card fronts.  The greeting inside is "Wishing you peace and joy at Christmas."  To see past years' Christmas cards that I've drawn, click here, then scroll down.

Dark Green Vine with Berries

A third card like my last two (this and this), using the same layout and vine stamp, but a different color combination.  It's for a December wedding anniversary, and I'll write "warm anniversary wishes" on the inside.  

 Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) pinefeather (dark green) and stamper's select white. 
• Patterned paper is from PTI autumn rose (medium pink) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• The sentiment "sending warm wishes" is from Altenew warm wishes (retired), the berries are from PTI out on a limb revised (retired), and the vine is from PTI withsympathy (retired), stamped with PTI new leaf (medium green), pinefeather, autumn rose, and scarlet jewel (burgundy) inks. 
• I added dots of Copic marker R59 to the berry centers.

Aqua Vine with Flowers

I copied from last week's card for a delicate sympathy design, changing the colors and sentiment, and using flowers instead of berries.  

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) winter wisteria (light purple) and stamper's select white.
• Patterned paper is from PTI aqua mist (light aqua) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• The sentiment "with deepest sympathy" is from PTI little labels (retired), and the vine and flowers are from PTI withsympathy (retired), stamped with PTI Hawaiian shores (medium aqua) and winter wisteria inks. 
• I added the flower centers with a turquoise Copic multiliner pen.

Green Vine with Berries

Another autumn theme for today's card. The leafy vine's stamp set included some flowers, but instead I chose berries, using a three-dot cluster from a different set.

• Patterned paper is from PTI simply chartreuse (green) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• The sentiment "sending smiles" is from PTI little labels (retired), the berries are from PTI out on a limb revised (retired), and the vine is from PTI withsympathy (retired), stamped with PTI canyon clay and simply chartreuse inks.

Leaf Frame - Autumn Colors

I'll mail this card in a few weeks as encouragement for some of our church members.  I like the layered autumn colors on the shimmery turquoise background.  

 Card details:

• Card stock is Neenah baronial ivory (pale yellow) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) sea shimmer (turquoise). 
• Patterned paper is from PTI summer sunrise (yellow-orange) and terra cotta tile (rusty red) pattern packs (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• Dies are from Altenew leaf frame cover (retired) and PTI my mother, my friend (large label).  I layered the two identical leaf frame die cuts, with one of them turned 180 degrees.  
• The sentiment "just because" is from PTI keep it simple: just because (retired), and the leaves are from Altenew wings of hope, stamped with PTI summer sunrise and terra cotta tile inks.

Green Pen on Cream

I like the stamped squiggles and words, almost as if the diecut pen has written them.  I drew some green on the pen's tip to add to the effect.

Sunflowers on Aqua

Bright sunflowers make this a cheerful card to encourage some of our church members.

Strong contrast gives interest to this monochromatic card.

Floral with Pastels

Two cards using preprinted flowers and leaves from an old kit.  I enjoyed making these pastel floral designs.

• Patterned paper is from PTI aqua mist pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired) and lilac grace bitty big pattern pack.

• The sentiment "spring greetings" is from PTI take three: spring (retired), stamped with PTI mint julep and new leaf (deeper green) inks, and "with sympathy" is from PTI keep it simple: sympathy (retired), stamped with PTI tropical teal ink.

Doily with Red Heart or Blue Bird

Two cards with the same simple design.  Silver shimmery card base, with half of a white doily, a strip of dotted paper, and a bird or heart as focal point.  I like them both.

• Patterned paper is from PTI smokey shadow (dark gray) pattern pack (tone-on-tone prints - retired) and PTI blueberry sky (medium blue) "+ white basics" patterned paper (retired). 
• Dies are from PTI heart prints (retired), peace be still (dove), and Parisian lace doily (retired).  I used half of a doily on each card.  
• I used a McGill 1/16" circle punch for the birds' eye.

Blue and Orange - Hexagons

A bright color scheme for a family member's birthday card.  All the hexagon shapes work well together. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Paper Source royal blue and Papertrey Ink (PTI) pure poppy (red), orange zest, bright buttercup (yellow), new leaf (green), winter wisteria (purple), Hawaiian shores (turquoise), and stamper's select white. 
• Embossing folder is Darice honeycomb.
• Dies are PTI two toned (large hexagon) and multiples (small inlaid hexagons - retired). 
• I trimmed 1/8" from each side of the white hexagon to make my smaller top layer. 
  
• The sentiment "happy birthday" is from PTI communique sentiments (retired), and the star pattern is from PTI bitty background blocks II (retired), stamped with PTI blueberry sky (medium) and orange zest inks.
