Red Flowers in Aqua Jar

Two bright red bouquets from one set of stamps and dies.  I drew some aqua lines (horizontal) for the jar and white stems for the leaves and flowers.   Because the dies left white around the stamped leaves and flowers, I included white borders on the jar label and the brown sentiment strip, to unify the look of the card.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) rustic white, dark chocolate (brown), ocean tides (muted teal), and aqua mist (light aqua).
• The sentiment "thank you" is from PTI communique sentiments, stamped with PTI fresh snow ink cube. Flowers and leaves are PTI bigger blooms, stamped with PTI pure poppy (red) and new leaf (green). The jar label is PTI boy basics: simple circles, stamped with PTI aqua mist.
• Dies are Spellbinders standard circles small (2nd smallest, approx. 1-1/8"), PTI bigger blooms, and PTI pint jar.
• Lines are drawn with Signo Uni-ball white gel impact pen and Copic marker G000 (several layers to darken the line).

Hearts Print with Banner - Before and After

After

A card with some red, white, and blue Love for Operation Write Home's June banners challenge.  With our OWH August 1 deadline coming soon, I wanted to use up the rest of this hearts print and those sweet tiny words - "Be mine, Forever and always, You make me happy" and more.

So I adapted the layout from an earlier card (shown below) while using most of the same materials.  Both cards are nice, but I think the "after" card (above) is more vibrant with the wide red banner and lively embossing pattern.

• The only new supplies on the "after" are - Added some red embroidery floss (DMC 347) and changed embossing folder to Sixxix retro cirque (retiring.)
• On the "after" card, I forgot to edge the hearts print with B39 Copic marker like the "before"card.  It looks better with the edging (below.)

Stars with Red, White, and Blue

A red, white, and blue "miss you" card with lots of stars, embossed and die cut.  For the Operation Write Home June challenge from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Many thanks to ODBD for supporting our deployed troops through these monthly challenges. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) classic kraft, stamper's select white, pure poppy (red), enchanted evening (dark blue), and the stripes print from PTI enchanted evening pattern pack.
• Die is PTI seeing stars (medium size.)
• The sentiment "miss you" is from PTI communique sentiments, stamped with PTI pure poppy ink cube. 
• The "v" shapes on the star points are drawn with Signo Uni-Ball red gel impact pen.
• Baker's twine is by We R Memory Keepers.
• Embossing folders are Darice stars asst. [assorted] and the Paper Studio tiny stars, using the debossed side.
• Corners on the blue square are rounded with Crop-a-Dile 1/2" corner chomper.

Orange and Yellow Flowers with Kraft

Sweet flower shapes in orange and yellow on a strip of dark green.  Kraft and an aqua print add more contrast.

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) classic kraft, pinefeather (dark green), orange zest, harvest gold, and the leaf print from PTI aqua mist pattern pack.
• Dies are PTI pencil blooms.
• Bottom corners are rounded with Crop-a-Dile 1/2" corner chomper.

Orange Gingham with Green and Turquoise

Just a simple card with bright and happy colors.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) orange zest, limeade ice (green), and Hawaiian shores (turquoise), and the gingham print from PTI orange zest pattern pack.
• Twine is PTI orange zest baker's twine.
• Dies are PTI wonderful words: hello and tag sale #6.

Cream Heart with Pink Prints

Patterns and textures with cream and a variety of pinks.  In real life, all the colors work well together.

Card details:

• Card stock is My Favorite Things cotton candy (medium pink), Papertrey Ink (PTI) raspberry fizz (deep pink) and vintage cream, leaf print from PTI raspberry fizz pattern pack, and a light pink print from PTI pretty pastels.
• Dies are PTI limitless layers: 2-1/4" hearts and heart-2-heart #3.
• Circle punch is EK Success 1-1/2".  
• Embossing folders are Sizzix stripes (retiring) and Cuttlebug d'vine swirls.  I adhered the pink circle to the cream heart, then embossed them together.
• Corners are rounded with Crop-a-Dile 1/4" corner chomper.
• The sentiment "I love you" and arrow are from PTI Tag-Its #11, stamped with Ranger picked raspberry distress ink.

Flowers on Green Twist

A trio of bright flowers, growing on the green twist design.  (Vines?  An ornate fence?  Nice either way.) 

A dark blue background adds depth.  I experimented with several diffferent background colors, and the blue looked the best by far. 

Card details:

• Card stock is My Favorite Things (MFT) limeade (green) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) berry sorbet (pink), lemon tart (light yellow), summer sunrise (deep yellow), and enchanted evening (dark blue.)
• Dies are PTI cover plate: twist, MFT layered rose (the three largest dies), and PTI polka dot parade #2 (the small and medium dies).
• I used my very old hand punch for the 1/4" circles.

Gold with Rust - Thank You

Strong colors with curves and lines.  The sentiment in a slanted font, offset on two lines, gives a sense of movement on the scallop-print paper, while the embossed stripes offer a stable foundation.  And that's how I see it.

• Card stock is Paper Source curry (gold),  Papertrey Ink (PTI) terra cotta tile (rusty red), and a print from Basic Grey PB&J 6x6" paper pad.
• Embossing folder is Lifestyle Crafts stripe.
• Die is Elizabeth Crafts thank you #788.

Blue Leaflets with Tan and Cream

Lovely and calm with blue leaflets (stamped and printed) and tan with cream abstract patterns. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) leaf and stripe prints from enchanted evening (dark blue) and fine linen (tan) pattern packs, and an abstract grid print from Pink Paislee portfolio 6x6" paper collection.
• The sentiment "thinking of you" is from PTI keep it simple: thinking of you, stamped with PTI enchanted evening ink.  The leaflets are from PTI turning a new leaf, stamped with PTI blueberry sky (medium blue) ink.

Purple Rickrack Hugs

Purple rickrack hugs.  The post title says it all.

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) plum pudding (purple), lavender moon, and several prints  from PTI guide lines 6x6" pad.
• I edged the oval and the patterned paper strips with Copic marker V09.
• Dies are PTI XL rickrack, limitless layers 2-1/4" ovals, and big hugs.
• Embossing folder is Cuttlebug swiss dots.
• Bottom corners are rounded with Crop-a-Dile 1/2" corner chomper.
