Multicolored Stripes - Hello

A strip of dark navy card stock grounds the multicolored striped paper and the "hello" label.  I like the teal and wine red colors with the navy and cream.  

Card details:

• Card stock is My Favorite Things tropical teal, Hero Arts grenadine (wine red) layering paper, and Papertrey Ink (PTI) vintage cream. 
• Patterned paper is by October Afternoon, from our monthly card making group's "free" table.
• Dies are from PTI my mother my friend (label shapes - retired), PTI noted: simply stitched A2 vertical, and Birch Press sugar script hello (retired).

Plaid with Stars - Aqua with Orangey Brown

The plaid paper gave me the color scheme for this simple card.  I like the two-toned card base and the strip of stars.  

Card details:

• Card stock is Paper Source pool (aqua) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) canyon clay (orangey brown) and dark chocolate (dark brown). 
• Patterned paper is Pink & Main pumpkin spice 6 x 6" pad (retired).

Thank You Banner - Blue and Red with Yellow

Bright bold colors with a layered red and blue banner. Repeating red borders ground the blue and yellow shapes. 

Note: the blog makes the banner's curve look jagged.  For a better view, click on the image.  

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) spring rain (light blue), pure poppy (red), and summer sunrise (yellow-orange). 
• Patterned paper is from PTI enchanted evening (dark blue) and summer sunrise pattern packs (tone-on-tone prints - retired). 
• Dies are from PTI stars and stripes (stars - retired), PTI double-ended banners (sentiment banner - retired), and My Favorite Things party banner (retired).  I layered the red and blue party banners from the same die, offset.  
• The sentiment "thank you" is composed with Essentials by Ellen (Ellen Hutson) basic alphabet (retired), the blue star is from PTI land that I love (retired), and the sentiment "for all that you do" is from PTI wonderful words: thank you (retired), stamped with PTI pure poppy and enchanted evening inks.

Sunshine - Orange and Yellow with Teal

My card started with the orange print, and I wanted to use a circle for my sentiment.  A sunshine theme developed from there.  The embossed rays on the card base and the yellow stamped rays on the sentiment emphasize the theme. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) tropical teal, orange zest, and stamper's select white.
• Patterned paper is from Reverse Confetti paper bliss 6 x 6" pad (retired). 
• Embossing folder is Taylored Expressions bursting dots.
• Dies are PTI limitless layers: 1-3/4" circles (retired) and WeR Memory Keepers/ Lifestyle Crafts nesting circles (retired - 1-1/2" circle).
• The sun rays are from PTI land that I love (retired), and the sentiment "sending sunshine" is from PTI keep it simple: encouragement (retired), stamped with PTI harvest gold (yellow) and tropical teal inks.

Red, White, and Blue Hello with Tan Stripes

A bold design with strong colors, patterns, and textures.  I enjoyed trying the new "hello" stamp and die.

Sympathy - Purple with Lavender

Soft monochromatic colors and curving lines for a simple sympathy card.  

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) plum pudding (purple). 
• Patterned paper is from PTI pretty pastels 8 x 8" pad (retired).  
• Dies are PTI bold borders: wave (frame design - retired), Elizabeth Craft "with sympathy" (retired), Impression Obsession butterfly set (retired), and Memory Box floral vine (retired).

Butterfly - Teal and Aqua

Today's sympathy card started with the ombre striped card base.  Then I thought I'd use the leafy print instead.  But they looked good together, so I kept both.  I like the colors and patterns along with the leaf and butterfly shapes. 

Card details:

• Card stock is Neenah solar white, colored with Copic G000 marker (light aqua), and Papertrey Ink (PTI) tropical teal.
• Patterned paper is from PTI A2 ombre stripes collection (retired) and green tea leaves 8 x 8" pad (grande scale). 
• Dies are PTI life is beautiful (small layered butterfly - retired) and WPlus9 folk art florals (leaflet - retired).
• The sentiment "with deepest sympathy" is from PTI little labels (retired), stamped with PTI tropical teal ink.

Star Banner with Stripes - Red, White, and Blue

A patriotic themed card for the Fourth of July and our country's 250th anniversary.  It's a very simple design with crisp lines and bold colors.

Red, White, and Blue Hello with Tan Dots

For this card, I stamped the red plaid "hello" word on white card stock, die cut it, and layered it offset onto a dark navy die cut for a shadow effect.  It stands out boldly on a light blue wood grain banner and striped blue band.
