Today's card was my first attempt using the corrugated card stock that I bought long ago. It was
this pumpkin post by Melissa Phillips that nudged me to get it off the shelf and to try sponging it with some ink - thank you, Melissa, for your inspiration!
I'm really happy with my results. The turquoise sponged on the corrugated panel ties it into the turquoise background, which is also echoed in the sentiment label's stamped splotches. The heavily embossed brown card stock and the rough twine add even more texture. A very nice masculine card!
Card details:
- Card stock is 12 x 12" E-flute (8 per inch) kraft corrugated (no longer available where I bought it) and Papertrey Ink (PTI) Hawaiian shores (turquoise), cocoa bean (brown), and rustic cream.
- Embossing folder is Stampin' Up square lattice (retired).
- Sponging was done with PTI Hawaiian shores ink cube, using the round Ranger ink blending tool to apply the ink.
- Twine is PTI rustic cream button twine.
- Die is from Spellbinders labels eight.
- The sentiment "thank you" is from PTI keep it simple: thank you II, and the dot cluster is from PTI gathered garden, stamped with PTI cocoa bean ink cube. The splotch stamp is from PTI grunge me, stamped with PTI Hawaiian shores ink cube.
