Bird with Hearts - Teal and Purple

A bit of whimsy and a lot of color contrast in today's card.  I started with the teal and aqua, then tried many different colors and patterns for the card base.  The purple stripe was just what it needed.  

Card details:

• Card stock is Papertrey Ink (PTI) tropical teal (deep teal), Hawaiian shores (medium aqua), and stripes from PTI plum pudding (purple) pattern pack.
• Dies are PTI heart border, loop de loop, one liners (love); My Favorite Things vertical stitched strips (small and medium), stitched scallop edges (large); and WPlus9 folk art florals (small bird). 
• I snipped a bit off the tail of the "e" so it would end before the edge stitching detail.

I created this card for a family anniversary.  And I made a few more for Operation Write Home, "supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them." (401)
